Working condition in Asia

Does it really surprise anyone to hear about the horrendous working conditions people have to endure in the factories producing the so beloved sneakers of renowned western companies where toxic fumes cause casualties on a daily basis? We also know of the sweat shops and ‘blood diamonds’ and this is only the tip of the iceberg. Does the consumer care that he pays incredible much or not much at all for the goods he desires? Blame it on the ruthless exploiting managers but what would they do without the consumer? CLOSE SHOP!
