It sounds like a word signifying surrender. Well, this is only one meaning, one that has this negative connotation. But it may also mean something positive, like giving up a bad habit, which is definitely constructive. it literally means abandoning too, like sending off something in order to get rid of it. The point to bring across here is that even a simple word can mean different things, at least it has two, one is constructive the other the opposite. To convey the correct meaning, the word has to be examined in the context of written, or spoken, or other perceptive framework; like a picture is framed, or sound determining the feelings it raises, or the underlying trend of films and broadcasts.
Sadly, most people do not pay full attention. They react rather than scrutinize. It is usually a personal knee jerk reaction since we are as individuals judging everything according to our values and morals. A good, or better, successful salesman knows that and will pitch his sale to the individual’s operational “Persona”, which is the presentation a human wants or allows the public to see, and sadly, more often than not, he sees himself, rightfully so or not. Why do people fall for tricksters? The answer is really very simple: People perceive what they want or allow to perceive, be it written, spoken or presented via media. like films and broadcast. Every perception can be framed, manipulated and in fact brutally abused. A trickster only needs to assess the person’s characteristics and if he hits the soft spots, the business is done without the person even knowing what just happened. Politicians may have such skills, some of them are trained by the ones who are politically active, but do prefer not to shine in the limelight.
That is the sad story: People not accepting truth, and worse, not their own truth, the truth within their own existence as a living and capably thinking individual! To be true to yourself is definitely the hardest thing to do and achieve, but it is the only thing that saves you from tricksters, the destructive forces from external sources, and far more important, the internal conflicts everyone of us has. They are the true selfdestructive problem. If you cannot face and rectify your own selfdeception, you are always a victim, like it or not. It will always lead to pain, unhappiness and finally physical and mental exhaustion. My question is: What does giving up mean for me? And, what does it mean for you, dear friend and reader?
